No al Uso de llamas en el camino Inca!!!

Siendo deber de todos nostros velar por la disminucion de la desocupacion a travez del Turismo

 NOS PRONUNCIAMOS ENERGICAMENTE CONTRA EL PROYECTO DE USO DE LLAMAS en el

Camino Inca, esta idea descabellada (DE PERSONAS INESCRUPULOSAS) lo unico que quiere es no cumplir con el reglamento de porteadores (entiendase por esto que esos animales -llamas- no pueden hablar y por lo tanto reclamar y mucho menos cobrar!)

i have read your great website and totally support your goals to improve tourism in
Peru. I am visiting Peru at the beginning of December. I haven\'t choosen a company
yet for the inka trail. I would ideally like to hire a guide for the trek rather
than go on an organized tour. Is this still possible? could you recommend a guide
and how much will the trek cost. Could you also recommend a good tour company. I am
looking forward to your response

Buenos Dias a todos,

Como Guía de Turismo me siento sumamente sorprendido (e irritado) por las actitudes q esta tomando el arq. David Ugarte con eso de introducir tarifas a las rutas alternativas, y bueno al final  son dineros q en nada benefician a la población local (cual es el principio del desarrollo sostenible) y q solo servirá para q la burocracia corrupta se reparta y despilfarre. Creo q simplemente están matando al turismo en el Cusco (acaso no se dan cuenta que no hay la tal temporada alta?) y esto claro esta por falta de capacidad en la autoridades q manejan el turismo en el Cusco, imagínense por un lado hacen campañas para atraer turistas y por el otro otros aquí los 'asaltan' despiadadamente y es el gobierno mismo q hace q los turistas se vayan a otro lado!

Respuesta: Ojala ese señor Ugarte se vaya pronto por el bien del Cusco y del turismo, ojala el nuevo gobierno tenga voluntad de cambio hacia las mayorías. Debiera ser quizá mejor q la comuna local en este caso hago esos cobros para beneficio de sus pobladores, como usted dijo esos dineros se irán en su mayoría para viajes y viáticos de los 'directores' y otros.

Feb 06 / For the Inca Mountain Guide Association: When you consider the money you spend to experience the Inca Trail, it’s probably one of the biggest expenses of your trip.

Luckily for my girlfriend and I, our experience of theInca Trail turned out to be absolutely brilliant. Yes,we were finally going to see Machu Picchu, but the reason it was so much better than we could have
imagined was our guide, Jose Gongora.

He, and as far as I could see he wasn’t the only one,wasn’t just a walking guide, he was a history book and taught us more about the Incas and Peru than you could hope! The combination was fantastic and we loved every minute of the Camino Inca…apart from the early morning sprint to the Sun Gate…thanks Jose!!
His 10 years on the trail is pretty impressive and makes you wonder how he and other guides would cope if they were ill or injured. This is why the Inca Mountain Guides Association is so important.
Tourism allows Jose and his fellow guides to live a comfortable life but what about when they can no
longer guide for a living through injury or Illness?The risks they take to make your trip fantastic are
far greater than you can imagine and this is why insurance is so important. Peruvian tourism must
support those who make our trips so great, not just the travel agents. The Association is something that
will help us to help the guides secure a long-term future and work to protect Peru and its culture for
all to see and experience.
This is why everyone experiencing the Inca Trail and Macchu Pichu should think about the bigger picture.
Without Jose, our trip would not have been the amazing experience it was and for this I will always be
grateful. So lets all support the MGA to help those who make the Inca Trail the amazing experience it is.

Respuesta: Gracias a Dios todavía hay Guías a los  que el problema de los porteadores les preocupa. Pero eso de las carpas no lo es todo;  sino también que las agencias manden comida apropiada, porque comida no es darle un kilo de arroz y fideo para hacerlo hervir y comerlo como si fueran cerdos, o devorar  los 'leftovers'. Hay muchísimas agencias que ni siquiera se preocupan por decirles que sus porteadores se lleven por lo menos una botella de agua. Hermanos hay mucho por hacer, solamente tenemos que despertar de nuestra apatía!!!. Y por favor sigan contribuyendo con vuestros cometarios, sugerencias y porque no con vuestras críticas. Respuesta: La experiencia es madre de la ciencia. Lamentablemente para nosotros a nadie se le ocurre llamarnos para poder cooperar -de eso estamos seguros- con nuestra experiencia y educación en el ramo en la elaboración del reglamento de uso del Camino Inca. No entendemos como profesionales que nada saben sobre ecoturismo o turismo sostenible puedan estar a cargo de la conducción del Santuario Histórico de Machu Picchu. GRACIAS POR SEGUIR ESCRIBIENDO
